welcome!

I’ve taken some time away from writing and podcasting as I have been focusing on getting my website up and running. Since it’s been a little bit since I’ve done a blog post there is something funny, to me, that has been going through my mind. It’s a line from an Eazy-E song: Now that you got the album, what the f&k are you gonna do with it b$%%h. That’s kinda what I think about my website. I spent a bunch of time learning, still am, all the ins and outs. How to put posts on pages, so on and so forth. But I keep thinking…now I’ve got this site built, what in the hell am I going to do with it? Well, let’s see… I am going to further what I am doing with my blog and podcast. I have started with some very rudimentary and clumsily done vlog posts. I am learning video editing and all types of things. Which, if you ask me, is pretty damn cool! That doesn’t really the question of what am I going to do with it, right? I have found that I love to tell stories. Not in the traditional sense of “once upon a time…” but I love telling people stories. My stories and the stories of others. There is something about hearing and relaying the point of view of another person that I freaking love! It is awesome when you are having a conversation with someone and they have a point of view on something that I had not thought of or taken the time to consider. That part of human connection, I feel, is something that many of us long for and more of us lack. But when you think about it, those connections are what make us human…right? Right.

My hope and my goal is to help as many people as I can get their story or stories out to the world. I feel like I have created an arena with a few different platforms that will allow me to have a broader reach. It also gives me many, many opportunities to grow. Which I already have done much of. There have been many nights wrestling with my own mind in a battle to understand how to get this damn site functioning. Learning how to embed code or how to properly import content from somewhere else to my site pages. I can’t begin to tell you how many chat sessions and hours I have spent attempting to wrap my brain around things, that sometimes, I feel are way above my level of understanding. Then I tell myself “Fuck this, you got this!” So whether a single person visits this site or reads a post or does anything doesn’t matter because I’ve learned and had growth that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. So, welcome to you if this is your first experience with me. Welcome back if you’ve read or listened or interacted with me previously. I hope you will enjoy this journey with me…
